I will digress a bit from my normal polymer stuff to take a minute to thank all of our heroes who are working on the front lines in theses trying times. My wife is the Clinical Manager for CardioPulomary Rehabilitation at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. She and her team have been working tirelessly supporting multiple activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
One of my wife’s patients was the first person in the video to get a “clap-out” as he was released from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was taken to an Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) as Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. Patients go to the ARU for two reasons: make a bed available in the ICU and allow the patient to recover before they go home.
Mission Hospital recently released a great video showing all of the staff that makes the hospital work efficiently on a daily basis.
