Polymer Innovation Blog Is Now Updated

Online polymer training using webinars

Thank you to my loyal readers over the past few weeks as we improved the blog.

Polymer Innovation Blog and my other sites (InnoCentrix and PlasticsExpertWitness) have been moved to a new hosting site that has much better reliability and security.  Polymerwebinars.com has been consolidated into the blog (visit the Video’s on the navigation bar above).  In the process I have re-named the webinars to videos since they are not live webinars but recordings of live webinars.  The video pages will now be mobile friendly and our eBook and video stores are secured with SSL security to protect our customers transactions.

The e-commerce software for both eBooks and our polymer videos has been updated with the latest version of Digital Access Pass (DAP). DAP is a really nice membership software where you will have access to download the digital products you purchase. No more download links that expire or get lost! The biggest improvement is the addition of a nice shopping cart for both eBooks and videos.  For example, you will be able to purchase an eBook and a training video in one transaction in the new shopping cart. In the past you needed to go to two sites and use two different payment systems.  The new shopping cart allows for multi-purchase discounts and bundling.  Many customers wanted to bundle different training videos and we now have a way to do that.  The new shopping cart will allow discounts for multiple purchases.

Digital Access Pass is a membership software package.  When you purchase an eBook, video, or video bundles, you will be given a username and temporary password.  By clicking on the members tab on the navigation bar you can log in to the members area where your digital products will be available.  You will have the option to change your password once you login the first time. No more losing the download link.

On Tuesday we will resume our technical content with a guest post by Dr. Robert Humphreys on biopolymers.

Polymer Innovation Blog

I’m Dr. Jeff Gotro and welcome to the Polymer Innovation Blog. Over the last 40 years I have been involved in polymer research, along with product and process development. I acquired invaluable experience working for IBM, AlliedSignal, Honeywell, Ablestik Labs (now Henkel) and in multiple consulting projects. In this blog, I (along with some guest contributors) will share our experiences, tips, and “tricks of the trade” to get more out of your innovation efforts and discuss new trends and technical advances in the polymer industry.
